About Aflewo
AFLEWO, an acronym for “Africa Let’s Worship,” is a Christian worship movement founded in 2004 in Nairobi, Kenya, by Timothy Kaberia. Rather than functioning as a single solo artist, AFLEWO operates as a ministry and collective of worship leaders, singers, and instrumentalists. The movement is known for organizing annual, interdenominational, all-night worship events across several African nations, including Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
The ministry’s purpose is to unite Christians from different denominations to lift one voice in worship and prayer. Through its gatherings, AFLEWO brings together a diverse group of participants to focus on collective praise.
The AFLEWO collective has released a number of worship songs, including “Shangilia (also known as Moyo Wangu),” “Haiye (Nitamwimbia Bwana),” “Ametenda Mema,” “KAMA AYALA,” “Nijaze,” “Uinuliwe Yesu,” “Yahweh Uhimidiwe,” and “Ninalo Jina Yesu.” These recordings reflect the collaborative nature of the ministry and its focus on congregational worship.
