Ascend The Hill

Ascend The Hill was an American worship music band from Tampa, Florida, active from 2008 to 2016. The group was originally known as Ben Davis before adopting a name reportedly derived from Psalm 24:3-5. The band’s lineup included Joel Davis on vocals and guitar, Seth Davis on lead guitar, Hayden Davidson on bass, and Jonathan Thomas on drums. The band signed with the Christian label Come&Live! and developed a musical style described as indie folk, indie rock, and worship. Their early work included the *Ben Davis EP* in 2008, followed by their self-titled studio album *Ascend the Hill* in 2009. In 2010, the group released *Hymns: Take the World, but Give Me Jesus*, a collection of re-arranged classic hymns. Their final studio album, *O Ransomed Son*, was released in 2012.
