Benjamin Dube

Benjamin Dube was born on January 23, 1962, in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a gospel recording artist, music producer, and the lead pastor and General Overseer of High Praise Centre Church. He grew up in a musical family and began singing with his siblings as the Dube Family Singers. Dube began his music career in the early 1980s and rose to prominence with the 1986 single "Holy Spirit." His discography includes numerous live albums, many of which feature the title "In His Presence." His catalog includes songs such as "Jehovah is Your Name," "Bow Down and Worship Him," "How Excellent is Your Name o Lord," "Consuming Fire Sweet Perfume," "Ngilawule (Order Me)," "Lomusa Ongaka," "U Dumo Lukufanele," and "Into Thy Presence." Multiple of his albums have reached gold and platinum status in South African music rankings. He has received multiple awards for his contributions to gospel music, including the "Legend Award" at the 2008 One Gospel Awards. He was also the winner of the 2009 MTN SAMA Award for Best Urban Gospel Album for *In His Presence* and the recipient of the 2009 Crown Gospel Music Award for Best Male Artist.
