Big Daddy Weave

Big Daddy Weave is an American contemporary Christian band formed in 1998. The group’s members met while attending the University of Mobile in Alabama. The band’s lineup has included Mike Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Joe Shirk, Brian Beihl, and Raul Alfonso. They have been signed to Curb Records since 2021. The band’s music often explores themes of faith, loss, healing, and God’s faithfulness. The passing of band member Jay Weaver significantly impacted the group and influenced their later songwriting. Their catalog includes songs such as “Redeemed,” “All Things New,” “My Story,” “Overwhelmed,” “The Lion and The Lamb,” and “Alive.” They also released the album *Let It Begin* and recorded the song “God Is In The Story” with Katy Nichole. Big Daddy Weave won a Dove Award for Christmas Album of the Year in 2010. Their song “Redeemed” spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on Christian radio charts.
