Casey J

Casey J, born Casey Janice Hobbs on June 29, 1986, is an American gospel singer and worship leader based in Atlanta, Georgia. Before stepping into a full-time music career, she worked as an elementary school math teacher. She is known for her distinctive performance style, often ministering without shoes and earning the description of a "bare-foot worship leader." Her debut album, *The Truth*, was released in 2015 and introduced her to a wide audience. The project featured the hit single "Fill Me Up," which reached number 1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart. Her sophomore album, *The Gathering*, was recorded at a farm outside of Atlanta and released in 2019. The album includes songs such as "The Gathering," "If God / Nothing But The Blood," "Let It Be Known," and "One Day." Casey J has been recognized for her work in the gospel music industry, winning the Stellar Award for New Artist of the Year at the 31st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards in 2016. Her catalog also includes the singles "I'm Yours," which also reached number 1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart, as well as "1,000 Hallelujahs" and "Song of My Life."
