About Cece Winans

CeCe Winans, born Priscilla Marie Winans on October 8, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, is an American gospel singer and pastor who has become one of the most celebrated figures in Christian music. She first rose to prominence in the 1980s as part of the gospel duo BeBe & CeCe Winans alongside her brother, BeBe Winans. She launched her solo career in 1995 with the album *Alone in His Presence* and later founded her own record label, PureSprings Gospel, in 1999. Winans has recorded a number of well-known songs, including "Goodness Of God," "Believe For It," "Alabaster Box," "Mercy Said No," "Worthy Of It All," and "Holy Forever." Her work has earned her 17 Grammy Awards, the most for any female gospel singer, as well as 36 GMA Dove Awards, 28 Stellar Awards, and 7 NAACP Image Awards. She has also been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and induction into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame. Beyond her music career, Winans serves as a co-pastor of Nashville Life Church, which she co-founded with her husband, Alvin Love II. She is also an author, having written books including *Believe For It: Passing on Faith to the Next Generation*. Recognized as the best-selling and most-awarded female gospel artist of all time, her career has been marked by a commitment to ministry and worship.
