About Celestine Donkor

Celestine Donkor is a Ghanaian gospel musician, songwriter, and preacher. She began her music career at age 16 as a backing vocalist after singing in church settings. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Information Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon. Her recorded catalog includes songs such as "Turning Around," "Agbebolo," "Okronkronhene," "Manim Nguase," "Boobobo," "I Carry Fire," and "Something New." Her music often incorporates multiple languages, including Ewe, Twi, Ga, English, and Hausa. Donkor has received recognition for her work in gospel music. She won Gospel Song of the Year and Best Female Vocal Performance at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for "Agbebolo." She also won Gospel Act of the Year at the 2022 3Music Awards and Artist of the Year at the 2019 National Gospel Music Awards. She is the founder of "Celestial Praiz," an annual gospel music concert. She is married to Kofi Donkor and they have three daughters.
