Charity Gayle

Charity Gayle is an American worship leader, gospel singer, and songwriter known for her work in contemporary Christian music. Born on October 8, 1988, and raised in Buffalo, New York, she grew up in a ministry family and has been involved in church music since childhood. Before pursuing a professional music career, she served as a worship pastor and music ministry director. Gayle is a member of the People & Songs community and has contributed to "The Emerging Sound" project. She is married to Ryan Kennedy, with whom she leads worship and co-writes music. Together, they are involved in a 24-hour prayer and worship movement called GatherHouse. Her debut album, *Lord, You Are My Song*, was released in 2018. Her catalog includes songs such as "Amen," "I Speak Jesus," "New Name Written Down In Glory," "Endless Praise," and "Thank You Jesus For The Blood." In 2012, she was named the GMA Immerse Vocalist of the Year. She also received a Dove Award for her contribution to the song "Benediction (As You Go)" on Selah's album *Firm Foundation*.
