Chrystal Rucker

Chrystal Rucker is a gospel soprano and professional musician from Kansas City, Missouri. The daughter of a bishop in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), she began singing in church as a toddler. She later studied music and English at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In 2007, Rucker suffered a series of strokes that required a long period of rehabilitation. She returned to music with the album *You Deserve* in 2012. The album reached the Top Ten on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart, and its title track appeared on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart. Rucker has also performed as a guest vocalist on recordings for artists including Ricky Dillard and Moses Tyson, Jr. Her catalog includes songs such as "Changed," "Over the Rainbow," "I Live Your Word," "Live to Love," and "You Will Be My God."
