Crowder

David Wallace Crowder, born November 29, 1971, is an American contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and author. He first became known as the lead singer of the Christian rock and worship group David Crowder*Band, which he led from 1996 to 2012. Crowder attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where his music career began. In 2012, Crowder launched a solo career, releasing music under the mononym "Crowder" through sixstepsrecords and Sparrow Records. He has described his work as "church music," with a focus on facilitating community worship. His solo discography includes the albums *Neon Steeple* (2014), *American Prodigal* (2016), *I Know a Ghost* (2018), and *Milk & Honey* (2021). During his tenure with the David Crowder*Band, the group won eight GMA Dove Awards. The band's album *Give Us Rest* debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian chart. As a solo artist, Crowder's single "I Am" reached the No. 3 position on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. His catalog includes songs such as "Because He Lives," "God Really Loves Us," "In The House," "My Beloved," "Milk & Honey," "Go Tell It On The Mountain," and "All My Hope."
