About Damita Haddon

Damita Haddon is an American gospel singer known for her work in contemporary gospel, R&B, and worship music. Born Damita Dawn Bass on September 4, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan, she is the identical twin of Marguerita Smith. Haddon began her professional career in the early 1990s as a member of the a cappella group Adoration N Prayze, which received multiple Stellar Award nominations for their debut record. She later gained prominence as a vocalist for Deitrick Haddon & the Voices of Unity, where her work contributed to the group's Stellar Award-winning projects. During this time, Haddon also served as an assistant Minister of Music at Unity Cathedral of Faith. She released her self-titled debut solo album in 2000, followed by the album *No Looking Back* in 2008. Her catalog also includes the album *Anticipation* and songs such as "Calvary," "Hold On to Your Faith," "I Will Trust," and "I Love You." Haddon has been recognized for her work in the gospel music industry for over a decade, building a career that blends traditional gospel roots with contemporary influences.
