Darlene Zschech

Darlene Zschech is an Australian singer-songwriter and worship leader recognized as a pioneer of the modern worship movement. Born Darlene Joyce Steinhardt on September 8, 1965, she served as the worship pastor at Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia, from 1996 to 2007. Alongside her husband, Mark Zschech, she now serves as a Senior Pastor at Hope Unlimited Church (HopeUC). Zschech is best known for writing and recording the globally sung worship song "Shout to the Lord." Her catalog also includes songs such as "In Jesus' Name," "Victor's Crown," "Worthy Is the Lamb," "Your Presence Is Heaven," and "My Jesus, I Love Thee." She released the album "Revealing Jesus" and collaborated on the song "Way Maker." Her recordings have achieved 16 Gold and one Platinum ARIA album certifications. Beyond music, Zschech is a published author who has written several books on worship and ministry. She is also committed to global missions, having co-founded the initiative HOPE: Global. Her influence in praise and worship has been recognized with a GMA International Award, and she has received multiple GMA Dove Award nominations.
