About Darwin Hobbs
Darwin Todd Hobbs, born November 30, 1968, is an American gospel singer, arranger, and worship pastor. He is noted for his soulful tenor voice, which has often been compared to Luther Vandross. Hobbs emerged in the mid-1990s as a session vocalist and arranger in Nashville before launching a solo career.
His debut solo album, *Mercy*, was released in 1999. Over the years, he has built a catalog of recordings that includes the albums *Free*, *Worshipper*, *Broken*, and *Vertical*. His album *Champion* (2010) won a Stellar Gospel Music Award for Praise & Worship CD of the Year. His song catalog also includes singles such as "Call The Name Of Jesus," "Get Ready," and the song "We Worship You Today."
In addition to his recording career, Hobbs has served as a worship pastor at the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, New York. He has also collaborated with numerous artists across gospel and secular genres, including CeCe Winans, Michael W. Smith, and Donna Summer.
