Deon Kipping

Deon Kipping is an American contemporary gospel songwriter, singer, and producer. He was born Deon Earl Maurice Kipping on April 9, 1979, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and was raised by his grandparents in a household of 15 people. While attending Lincoln University, he majored in music and served as a choir musical director. Kipping began his career as a songwriter, penning gospel hits for other artists, including "Praise Him in Advance" for Marvin Sapp and "Incredible God, Incredible Praise" for JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise. In 2004, he formed the praise and worship group New Covenant. He released his debut album, *Real Life. Real Worship.*, in 2006. His 2012 album, *I Just Want to Hear You*, reached number six on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. Kipping later signed with the label RCA Inspiration for his 2016 album, *Something To Talk About*. His catalog also includes the 2016 EP *Place Called Victory* and songs such as "By Myself," "Your Love," "Let Your Power Fall," and "Pray For The World."
