DJ Nicholas

DJ Nicholas, born Nicholas Eccleston on October 29, 1980, in Kingston, Jamaica, is a gospel reggae and dancehall artist known for his ministry through music. His conversion to Christianity was inspired by reading Acts 4:12, and he attended Calabar High School in Jamaica before studying at Broward College in Florida. His music career began with the album *On the Shout* in 2005, followed by *Louder than Ever* in 2008. He released *School of Volume* in 2011, *The Audiologist* in 2017, *Abnormal Decibels* in 2021, and *Equilibrium* in 2025. His catalog also includes songs such as "Living 4 Jesus" with Jermaine Edwards and "Holy Ghost Church." DJ Nicholas has performed at events including BET's Celebration of Gospel and tours with his band, the "On the Shout Band." He has collaborated with Christian artists such as Deitrick Haddon, Todd Dulaney, and Anthony Brown. His work has been recognized with several awards, including Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the 2006 Maja Awards, the New Gospel Artiste Award at the 2006 Joe Higgs Music Awards, Album of the Year at the 2022 Jamaica Sterling Awards, and Outstanding DJ Vocal Performance at the 2025 Bahamas Marlin Awards.
