While she is globally recognized as a country music icon, her roots are deeply planted in the Christian faith. She grew up in the Church of God, where her maternal grandfather was a preacher, and she began singing hymns and playing guitar at church services at the age of six. Throughout her career, Parton has recorded various spiritual and gospel-themed songs and albums, including *The Golden Streets of Glory* and *Precious Memories*. Her catalog includes faith-infused songs such as "Coat of Many Colors," "Jesus & Gravity," and "Hello God."
