Elyssa Smith

Elyssa Smith is a Christian worship leader and songwriter. Born in Borger, Texas, she served as a worship leader at UPPERROOM in Dallas, Texas, for nine years. She is known for writing the worship song "Surrounded (Fight My Battles)," which has been widely recorded by other artists and worship collectives. Smith has also been credited as a songwriter for various Christian artists. She released a solo project titled *Wearing a Blindfold and Running*, which includes songs such as "Jealous," "Hey Jesus," "Catch Me," "Lovesick," and "More Than Meets The Eye." Her songwriting credits also include "Rest On Us" and "Make Room." As a songwriter, Smith is a Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-nominated artist.
