About Esther Wahome
Esther Wahome is a Kenyan gospel singer whose music career began with inspiration from her father, William Wahome, a hobby musician. She is widely recognized for her hit song "Kuna Dawa."
Wahome achieved a notable milestone as the first Kenyan artist to have a song featured on an international compilation CD. Her track "Furahia" was included on *Stars of Afro-pop*, released by A.R.C. Music. Her catalog also includes songs such as "Hachagui," "Tu Amor," "Yebazibwe," and the collaboration "Ni Wewe" with Guardian Angel.
In 2009, Wahome was awarded the Head of State Commendation by President Mwai Kibaki. Beyond music, she participated in the Mrs. Universe pageant, becoming the first black woman from Africa to be crowned runner-up. She also won the Mrs. Kenya title in 2012 and is a franchise holder for the Mrs. Kenya pageant.
