Gaither Vocal Band

The Gaither Vocal Band is an American Southern gospel vocal group founded in 1981 by songwriter and producer Bill Gaither. Originally known as the "New Gaither Vocal Band" from 1981 to 1985, the ensemble has featured numerous members over its history, with frequent lineup changes to accommodate solo careers. The group is known for its rich harmonies and has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Sydney Opera House. The group gained widespread popularity through the Gaither Homecoming video series. Their extensive catalog includes over 30 studio albums, with releases such as *Then Came the Morning*, *Better Together*, *Pure and Simple*, *Hymns*, *Lovin' Life*, *Homecoming*, *God Is Good*, and *Give It Away*. The current lineup as of 2025 includes Bill Gaither, Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles, and Reggie Smith. The Gaither Vocal Band has been honored with two Grammy Awards and has received 17 Dove Awards. The group has also been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
