Gene Moore

Gene Moore is a contemporary gospel singer based in Houston, Texas. He is the son of Reverend Gene A. Moore Sr., pastor of March of Faith Community Church in Pearland, Texas. His musical development began as a member of the Southeast Inspirational Choir. Before launching his solo career, Moore served as a background singer for artists including Kirk Franklin and Israel Houghton. He is noted for his baritone vocal style and counts Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway among his influences. Moore’s debut album, *The Future*, was released on Motown Gospel and earned a Stellar Award nomination for New Artist Of The Year. He followed with a second album on the label, *Tunnel Vision*. His catalog includes songs such as “Depending On You,” “Always Jesus,” “Ask For Rain,” “Won’t Be Moved,” “Beautiful” featuring India.Arie, and “I Believe.” Moore also released an EP titled *Introspection*.
