About Graham Kendrick
Graham Kendrick is a British Christian singer, songwriter, and worship leader who has been active in Christian music since the early 1970s. Born on August 2, 1950, in the United Kingdom, he is the son of a Baptist pastor, M.D. Kendrick. Over the course of his career, he has written and recorded more than 450 songs, and he is often described as a "father of modern worship music."
Kendrick is known for writing several songs that have become widely used in congregational worship, including "Shine, Jesus, Shine," "The Servant King," "Knowing You," and "Amazing Love." His recorded catalog includes albums such as *Is Anyone Thirsty*, *Jesus of the Scars*, and *Salvation Songs*, as well as the EP *Where it Began*.
Beyond his work as a songwriter and recording artist, Kendrick was a founder and songwriter for the global "March for Jesus" movement. He also travels internationally to participate in tours, festivals, conferences, and training events as a worship leader and speaker. In addition, he is an advocate for the charity Compassion International.
