Hillary Scott

Hillary Scott is an American singer and songwriter who is widely known as a co-lead vocalist of the country music group Lady A. Born Hillary Dawn Scott-Tyrrell on April 1, 1986, she has also pursued a faith-based musical project with her family. In 2016, she released the album *Love Remains* in collaboration with her parents, Lang Scott and Linda Davis, and her sister, Rylee Scott, collectively known as The Scott Family. The album incorporates elements of gospel, bluegrass, country, and pop. Scott has been open about her Christian faith and its influence on her music and personal life. The song "Thy Will" was written by Scott following a personal experience with miscarriage and serves as a prayer of surrender and trust in God. The album *Love Remains* won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. "Thy Will" also won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song at the same ceremony and reached the number one position on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart in 2016. Scott's catalog of faith-based music includes the singles "Still" from 2017 and "You Can Rest" from 2022. Other songs from the *Love Remains* album include "Sheltered In The Arms Of God," "Untitled Hymn (Come To Jesus)," and "Beautiful Messes." In 2024, she released the single "Hard To Wait For Christmas."
