About Iragi Chihebe
Iragi Chihebe is a Congolese-born gospel artist, songwriter, and vocal coach based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Born on January 17, 1991, in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo, into a pastoral family, his musical journey began in Sunday school in 1995. He launched his professional career in 2018 with the single "You Are Great." In addition to his music, Chihebe is also a computer scientist and linguist.
Chihebe released his album *Mighty and Worthy* in 2021. His catalog includes songs such as "You Are God Alone" (2021), "Almighty God" (2022), "Thank You Lord" (2023), "U Mwema" (2023), and the single "Where Would I Be" (2024). He released the single "Today Miracle Follow Me" in 2023 and the single "Ayaya Yesu" in 2025. In February 2020, he founded the musical company "Genuine Worship Time."
Chihebe has been recognized with several gospel music awards. He received the Best of Africa Gospel Artist award at the Mpumalanga Gospel Music Awards in 2022 and the Best African Song of the Year award at the same awards in 2023. In 2024, he was named Best African Gospel Artist at the INGOMA11 South Africa awards, and in 2025 he was awarded International Male Artist of the Year by GCMA USA. He is recognized as an anointed worship leader and mentor.
