Jahdiel

Grace Jahdiel Benjamin, known professionally as Jahdiel, is a contemporary Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and vocalist. She was born on November 11, 1986, in Ikoyi, Lagos State, Nigeria. Jahdiel began her professional music career in 2006 and released her debut album, *Heritage*, in 2008. Her musical foundation was built in the church, where she began singing in the local choir at age five and started playing piano and keyboard at age thirteen. Jahdiel is signed to Hammer House Records, a label owned by her husband, gospel artist Eben, and is also associated with Loveworld Records of Christ Embassy. In addition to her music career, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Jahdiel’s catalog includes the albums *Heritage*, *Under Oath*, and *Majesty*, as well as songs such as "When You Say Yes," "Just Like That," "Ebube Dike," "Oh God," and "Ayaya." Her work has earned recognition, including a nomination for "Most Promising Artist or Group" at the 2008 Kora Awards and a nomination at the 2013 Nigeria Gospel Music Awards for her album *Under Oath*. In 2017, she was named among YNaija's "100 Most Influential People in Christian Ministry in Nigeria."
