Janet Mwandu

Janet Mwandu, also known as Janet JMK or Janet Mwandu Kasonde, is a Zambian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. Born to parents Rev. Charles and Maiwa Mwandu, who founded the Royal Glorious Life Bible Church, she grew up as a preacher’s kid. Beyond her music ministry, she works professionally as an insurance broker. She is married to Pastor Chris Kasonde and is recognized as a prophetic worshiper. Mwandu released the album *More than Enough* in 2022, which includes the song “You Are God Alone.” Her catalog also features the single “Ba Lesa Bandi Nemwine” (2025) and “Amalaila Kumwine Wabubumbo” (2026). She has collaborated with other artists on songs such as “Nkambo Mwazhila” featuring James Sakala and “Jehovah Overdo” featuring Mag44, Mr. Mando, and Ziyase. Through her music, Janet Mwandu expresses Christian devotion and praise, balancing her professional career with her calling as a gospel minister.
