About Janet Paschal

Janet Paschal is an inspirational gospel vocalist and songwriter who has been a presence in Christian music ministry for decades. Born on October 18, 1956, in Reidsville, North Carolina, she began her professional career after graduating high school as a member of the gospel group The LeFevres, which later became The Rex Nelon Singers. She gained prominence as a soloist for Jimmy Swaggart’s international crusades in the 1980s. In 1990, Paschal became a featured artist on the Gaither Homecoming tour and videos, expanding her reach within the gospel music community. Beyond performing, she is a published author, having released books including *The Good Road* and *Treasures of the Snow*. Her recorded catalog includes songs such as “What Good Are Love Songs (If They Don't Make Us Lovers),” “Another Soldier's Coming Home,” “God Will Make A Way,” “The Body and Blood,” and “If I'd Had My Way.” Paschal’s contributions to gospel music have been recognized with significant honors. She was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2019 and into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2022. In 2017, she also earned a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
