About Jason Gray

Jason Gray is an American contemporary Christian singer-songwriter who entered full-time music ministry in the late 1990s. Born Jason Jeffrey Gay on January 18, 1972, he legally changed his last name to Gray in 2006 to avoid issues with internet search engines and content filters. He released independent records before signing with Centricity Music later that year. Gray’s songwriting is noted for its transparency regarding personal struggles, faith, and brokenness. His catalog includes songs such as “Remind Me Who I Am,” “Sparrows,” “I’m Gonna Let It Go,” “Good to Be Alive,” “Nothing Is Wasted,” “Remind Me You’re Here,” and “Not Right Now.” The song “With Every Act of Love” reached No. 1 on the AC radio charts. His 2016 album “Where the Light Gets In” peaked at number five on Billboard’s Christian Albums Chart. Gray has toured with various prominent Christian artists, including Jeremy Camp, Sanctus Real, and Matthew West. He also hosts a radio show called “Acoustic Storytime” for SiriusXM The Message. His work has earned multiple ASCAP Performance Awards for songs including “Remind Me Who I Am,” “Sparrows,” and “I’m Gonna Let It Go.”
