Jeremy Camp

Jeremy Thomas Camp was born on January 12, 1978, in Lafayette, Indiana, and is an American contemporary Christian singer and songwriter. His father, a pastor, taught him how to play the guitar. Camp attended Bible college in Southern California for two years, and his music career began after a worship leader at the college encouraged him to join the music ministry program. He released his first nationally distributed album, *Stay*, in 2002. Camp’s catalog includes songs such as "There Will Be a Day," "Keep Me in The Moment," "Same Power," "Overcome," "Walk By Faith," "My Defender," "Dead Man Walking," and "Christ In Me." His life story, including the loss of his first wife to cancer and his subsequent faith, was the subject of the 2020 theatrical film *I Still Believe*. Over the course of his career, Camp has received five GMA Dove Awards and four ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Awards. He has also earned five RIAA-certified Gold albums and was named Billboard's #2 Christian artist of the decade.
