Jonah Chivasa

Jonah Chivasa is a Zimbabwean gospel musician, songwriter, and performer. He began singing in church (AFM) at the age of five, and he later relocated from Bindura to Harare to pursue his music career full-time. He has also served as a member of the gospel group Zimpraise. Chivasa’s catalog includes the album *Humambo* and songs such as “Jeso (Jesus),” “Dana,” “Fevha,” “Chipostori Chekare,” and “Komborerai Zimbabwe.” He released the single “Ngavapinde Havo,” which reached number one on the Star FM Gospel Greats and ZiFM Get Lifted charts. He also recorded “Ndozvinoita Nyasha” featuring Chelsea Mguni. His work has earned recognition in the Zimbabwean gospel music scene. Chivasa won Best Collaboration of the Year at the Permican Awards and was nominated for Best Gospel Song of the Year at the Star FM Music Awards.
