Joshua Winslow Groban, born February 27, 1981, is an American singer, songwriter, and actor known for a musical style that blends classical and pop music, often described as classical crossover or operatic pop. He attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, and his professional career began in the late 1990s after being introduced to producer David Foster. He gained early recognition after performing on the television series *Ally McBeal*. Groban’s catalog includes popular recordings such as "You Raise Me Up," "You Are Still You," "Thankful," "To Where You Are," and "You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)." He has released several successful albums, including *Closer*, the holiday collection *Noël*, and the Broadway-themed *Stages*. His work has earned him multiple multi-platinum certifications for his solo albums. In addition to his recording career, Groban has been active in musical theater. He made his Broadway debut in 2016 in the musical *Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812* and has also performed in a production of *Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street*.
