About Judith Gayle
Judith Gayle is a Jamaican-born gospel singer, songwriter, and ordained minister known for her work in Caribbean gospel and gospel reggae music. Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, she began her music career in the 1980s as a secular cabaret singer in Jamaican hotels before transitioning to gospel music after a religious experience in 1999.
Gayle has released a number of songs in her catalog, including "Stay With God," "Give Me Jesus," "The Sun Shines Again," "Broken to be Blessed," "I Believe," "Jesus is Alive," "Immanuel," and "Upon this Rock." Her musical style is frequently categorized as Caribbean gospel and gospel reggae. In addition to her music, she is an author who has published books including "Broken to be Blessed; Destined to Win" and "This is Real, Take the Mask Off."
Gayle is an ordained minister, having been ordained in 2014 by Bishop Michael A. Frith. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Theology from Canon University and has served as a worship leader at The Temple of Restoration in Brooklyn, New York. Her work has been recognized with several awards, including the MegaJamz Female “Gospel Artist Award of the Year” in Jamaica in 2009, the Atlanta Gospel Music Award for “Best Collaboration” in 2011, and the “Trail Blazer Award” from Gospel Vibes Radio in Connecticut in 2015.
