Kathy Taylor

Kathy Yvonne Taylor, born May 6, 1961, is an African-American gospel musician, songwriter, producer, and Minister of Music. She began her recording career as a soloist with James Cleveland’s Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) and The Mass Choir. Over the course of her career, she has also performed under the names Kathy Brown and Kathy Taylor-Brown. Her debut album, *Taylormade*, was released in 1999 under the name Kathy Taylor-Brown and charted on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. A decade later, she released *Live: The Worship Experience* in 2009 on Tyscot Records. That album also charted on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart, as well as the Billboard 200 and Independent Albums charts. In addition to her solo work, Taylor has served as a choir director and is associated with Windsor Village Church. She has been featured as a vocalist on songs including "Anticipation," "It's Your Decision," "He Did It," and "I Got My Joy Back." Her catalog also includes songs such as "Oh How Precious" and "I Can't Thank Him Enough."
