KB was born Kevin Elijah Burgess on July 21, 1988, in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is a Christian hip-hop artist, author, podcaster, and speaker. While attending Bible college, he founded the hip-hop collective HGA (His Glory Alone). He signed with Reach Records in 2010 and later partnered with Essential Sound/Provident Label Group in 2020. His debut studio album, *Weight & Glory*, was released in 2012. KB is known for addressing themes of faith, social issues, and personal growth in his music. His catalog includes songs such as "10k," "Libre" featuring Tommy Royale, "Armies," "Masterpiece," "Let It Reign" featuring Bizzle, "Yes Song," "We Right Here," and "Sí canción" featuring Blanca and Musiko. KB won the GMA Dove Award for Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the Year for *His Glory Alone* in 2021 and again for *His Glory Alone II* in 2024. He has also achieved multiple No. 1 placements on Billboard's Christian Albums chart. Beyond music, he co-hosts the *Southside Rabbi* podcast, which explores theology and culture, and authored the book *Dangerous Jesus: Why the Only Thing More Risky than Getting Jesus Right Is Getting Jesus Wrong* in 2023.
