About Keith Green

Keith Gordon Green (1953–1982) was an American pianist, singer, and songwriter who became a pivotal figure in the development of Contemporary Christian Music. He began his music career in the secular industry as a child before transitioning to Christian music in the late 1970s. Green was known for his piano-based compositions and lyrics that emphasized radical devotion to faith. Together with his wife, Melody Green, he founded Last Days Ministries. He was also known for his unconventional approach to the music industry, which included distributing albums on a pay-what-you-can basis. His catalog includes songs such as "Create in Me a Clean Heart," "Make My Life a Prayer to You," "Lord, I'm Gonna Love You," "Your Love Broke Through," "Asleep in the Light," and "Oh Lord, You're Beautiful." Keith Green died in a plane crash on July 28, 1982, at the age of 28.
