About Keyondra Lockett
Keyondra Lockett is a gospel singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, she first gained recognition as a founding member of the gospel group Zie’l. With Zie’l, she became a two-time Stellar Award nominee, and the group’s single “State of Emergency” reached the Billboard Top 15.
Lockett began releasing solo music in the early 2010s. Her catalog includes the EP “Bring Me To,” the album “The Heal,” and the mixtapes “Soul Couture I” and “Soul Couture II.” Her solo single “Try” also reached the Billboard Top 15. She has co-written songs for other gospel artists, including Kierra Sheard, Crystal Aiken, and Virtue.
Beyond her music career, Lockett made history as the first gospel artist to ink a toy doll deal with an ethnic brand, partnering with the Kenya® Doll Brand. Her later singles include “Liar” and “Trouble Won’t Last.”
