Khaya Mthethwa

Khaya Mthethwa is a South African gospel artist, singer-songwriter, musician, composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. He was born on November 25, 1986, in Durban, South Africa, to pastors Themba and Lulu Mthethwa, who influenced his musical and spiritual upbringing. He studied project management at Varsity College. Mthethwa gained national prominence as the winner of the eighth season of *Idols South Africa* in 2012. Prior to his solo career, he was a member of the gospel group Joyous Celebration. His music catalog includes the albums *The Uprising* (Live DVD/Album), *The Dawn*, *Mkhulumsebenzi*, and *All About Jesus*. He has also released the single *Ngumbulele* and live recordings such as *Our God*, *Ngiyafuna*, and *Ushilo Wena*. In addition to his music career, Mthethwa serves as a pastor at Oasis Church, which has multiple campuses in South Africa.
