Larue Howard

LaRue Howard is an American gospel musician, singer, and songwriter. She was born on March 13, 1970, in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Her recording career began with the album I'm Free in 2004.

Howard serves as a worship leader and has held the position of Worship Development Pastor at Willow Creek Community Church. She is also the founder of the non-profit organization Worship Leaders Association International, Inc. She is known for her live worship recordings, including the project Defender – Live at the River II.

Her catalog includes the albums How Great Is Our God and I'm Free, as well as songs such as "Great I AM," "Almighty God," and "Holy Spirit (Live)." In 2009, she won the GMA Dove Award for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for the song "How Great Is Our God."
