Larue Howard

LaRue Howard is an American gospel musician, singer, and songwriter. She was born on March 13, 1970, in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Her recording career began with the album *I'm Free* in 2004. Howard serves as a worship leader and has held the position of Worship Development Pastor at Willow Creek Community Church. She is also the founder of the non-profit organization Worship Leaders Association International, Inc. She is known for her live worship recordings, including the project *Defender – Live at the River II*. Her catalog includes the albums *How Great Is Our God* and *I'm Free*, as well as songs such as "Great I AM," "Almighty God," and "Holy Spirit (Live)." In 2009, she won the GMA Dove Award for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for the song "How Great Is Our God."
