Laurette Chala

Laurette Chala is a gospel music singer and songwriter whose work is rooted in the Christian faith. Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, she attended primary school in Zimbabwe as a refugee before completing her studies in Australia, where she currently resides. Her music ministry includes the release of the live album *Hosanna* in 2019. Chala has collaborated with other gospel artists, including Deborah Lukalu and Lord Lombo. Her catalog includes songs such as "Na Pesa Yo Nini," "Wastahili," "Hosanna," "Inuliwe," "Here I Am," "Desire," "Mitema," and "Mokonzi." Her work has been recognized by the Africa Gospel Music & Media Awards (AGMMA). In 2019, she was nominated for a "Video of Excellence" award at the AGMMA for the song "Na Pesa Yo Nini," featuring Deborah Lukalu.
