Liesl Penniken

Liesl Penniken is a South African singer who has moved from a background in pop music to become a featured vocalist in the gospel music industry. She first gained attention as a former member of the pop group Jamali before transitioning into gospel collaborations. Penniken has contributed her voice to several gospel recordings, most notably as a featured vocalist on projects by prominent South African gospel artist Benjamin Dube. Her collaborations with Dube include the songs "The Potter's House," "He's Done It Before," and the live recording "My Tribute," which also features Vashawn Mitchell. She has also been a featured vocalist on the song "Jesus" by Jonathan Rubain. Beyond her work as a recording artist, Penniken has been involved in developing new gospel talent. She served as a judge for the 2011 season of the gospel talent search reality show *SHINE*. She has also worked as a singing coach, sharing her experience with other aspiring vocalists.
