Majesty Rose

Majesty Rose (born Majesty Rochelle York on February 29, 1992) is an American singer and songwriter who first gained public recognition as a contestant on the thirteenth season of *American Idol*, where she placed ninth. She later transitioned into the contemporary gospel and worship music scene through her collaborations with the gospel collective Maverick City Music. Rose has been a featured vocalist on several Maverick City Music projects, including *Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1* and *Maverick City Christmas*. Her work with the collective has appeared on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart, with both *Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1* and *Maverick City Christmas* reaching the top five. Among the songs she has recorded with the group are "Love is a Miracle" (featuring Bri Babineaux), "You Keep on Getting Better," and "Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee/Angels We Have Heard on High." In addition to her work with Maverick City Music, Rose has released independent music, including the 2016 EP *Bloom* and the 2017 single "Plunge." She also maintains a YouTube channel featuring worship content and personal testimony.
