Maryanne J. George

Maryanne J. George is a Grammy Award-winning American Christian musician and songwriter of Malayalee origin. Born on October 8, 1992, in Queens, New York, she is a former member of the Maverick City Music collective and is known for her work in contemporary worship music and gospel genres. George began her musical training at age four by learning the violin and later taught herself piano, guitar, and vocals. She previously served as a worship director at Cornerstone Church in Hicksville, NY. Alongside her music career, she holds a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a board-certified National Certified Counselor. She released her debut solo EP, *Not Just Stories*, in 2021 via Tribl Records. The project debuted at number twelve on the Top Christian Albums Chart and number three on the Top Gospel Albums Chart. Her catalog includes songs such as "Altar" featuring Justus Tams, "Such an Awesome God" with Maverick City Music, and "To You" featuring Chandler Moore. She released the single "Labor" in 2024.
