Maxine Duncan

Maxine Duncan is a gospel artist and evangelist who began singing at age nine in her native Jamaica. She later moved to the United States, where she briefly sang with the gospel group Prophecy Sons of God. Her musical ministry is noted for her songwriting and performance of gospel music. Duncan’s catalog includes songs such as “I Am Committed to Jesus,” “The Promise,” “Holy,” “God Turned It Around,” “Glory & Honour,” and “He’ll Do It Again.” Her work has earned her various recognitions in the gospel music industry. She received Gil and Pat Bailey’s Certificate of Achievement in 2000, was named Best Female Gospel Artist in 2008 and 2009, and was honored as Female Artist of the Year in 2009. In 2010, she was named Female Entertainer of the Year, and in 2011, her song “I Am Committed (to Jesus)” won Album and Song of the Year.
