MercyMe

MercyMe is an American contemporary Christian music band formed in 1994 in Greenville, Texas. The group consists of lead vocalist Bart Millard, drummer Robby Shaffer, bassist Nathan Cochran, and guitarists Michael Scheuchzer and Barry Graul. Before signing with INO Records in 2001, the band released six independent albums. Their debut major-label album, *Almost There*, achieved triple platinum certification and introduced the crossover single "I Can Only Imagine," which became a significant success in both Christian and mainstream markets. The band has since released numerous studio albums, including *Welcome to the New* (2014), *Inhale* (2021), *Always Only Jesus* (2022), and *Wonder & Awe* (2025). Their catalog also includes songs such as "Even If," "Greater," "Flawless," "Grace Got You," "Better Days Coming," "Best News Ever," and "Bring the Rain." MercyMe has achieved 13 consecutive top-five singles on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. The band has won eight Dove Awards and was named Billboard's Top Christian Artist of the 2010s. Frontman Bart Millard has frequently spoken about the band's commitment to sharing the gospel and the role of theology in their music.
