Michael Farren is a Texas native who has lived in the Nashville/Franklin, Tennessee area for many years. He is a songwriter, producer, and worship leader within the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) genre. For 16 years, he served as the lead vocalist for the worship band Pocket Full of Rocks.
Farren’s songwriting credits include songs recorded by artists such as Michael W. Smith, Natalie Grant, Big Daddy Weave, and Aaron Shust. His own catalog includes songs like "Oh Praise (The Only One)," "Fighting For Us," "Let It Rain," "Let the Worshipers Arise," and "Come to the River." He has also served as a worship pastor at Gateway Church in Franklin, Tennessee.
His songwriting has been recognized with an ASCAP Christian Music Award for the song "Every Time I Breathe," which also reached #1 on Christian radio.
