Mmatema

Mmatema Moremi, known professionally as Mmatema, is a South African gospel singer, songwriter, actor, and television presenter. Born on 26 February 1992, she is a born-again Christian who began singing in church and pre-school. She first gained national recognition as the runner-up on the eleventh season of *Idols South Africa* in 2015. Following her time on the mainstream competition, Mmatema dedicated her career to gospel music and ministry. She founded her own record label, Mmatema Moremi Media Productions, and has served as a presenter for gospel-focused television programs, including *Gospel Unplugged* on SABC1 and shows on OneGospel and TBN. Her ministry has taken her to perform and minister in various countries, including the USA, UK, and several African nations. Mmatema is frequently associated with the gospel collective Spirit of Praise, with whom she has recorded several live performances. Her catalog with the group includes songs such as *I Am Grateful* (Live), *Make A Way* (Live), and *Reveal Yourself* (Live). She has also released solo recordings, including the songs *Yahweh*, *Bina Moya Waka*, *O tshepegile Morena*, and *O a ntwanela* (featuring Mapula Phaho), as well as the album *Heart of Gratitude*.
