Mthunzi Namba

Mthunzi Namba is a South African gospel artist and worship leader. He is a co-founding member of the gospel musical platform Joyous Celebration, which was established in 1995 alongside Lindelani Mkhize and Jabu Hlongwane. Before pursuing a full-time music career, Namba worked as a lecturer in the Transkei Education department. He gained early professional experience as an in-house producer for Blue Mountain Records. His musical style is noted for incorporating classical sensibilities and orchestral arrangements, and he is recognized for his role in popularizing live DVD recordings within the South African gospel music industry. He is identified in some sources as a pastor. Namba’s catalog includes songs such as Let Your Spirit Follow Me, Mercy, Come Down, Ngisondeze, Modimo, Trust in the Lord, Restoration Prophet Prayer, and Let It Rain.
