About Omega Khunou

Omega Khunou is a South African gospel musician, worship leader, and recording artist. He was born in 1981 and raised in Koster, North West Province, South Africa, as the son of a pastor in a family deeply involved in ministry. He began singing in his father’s Sunday school church at the age of five. Khunou pursued formal music training at Funda College in Soweto, Johannesburg, starting in 2001. His career gained significant recognition after he signed with Spirit Music in 2013 and appeared on the *Spirit of Praise Vol 3* project. He is known for his involvement in the "Clap and Tap" gospel music style. His recorded catalog includes the albums *Hayo*, *Worship In Spirit & In Truth*, and *Mo Roriseng* (Live at Mosaiek Theatre, 2023). Songs from his catalog include "Hayo Ya Tshwanang le Wena," "O Tshepo Yaka," "Sediba Sa Nnete," "The Power," and "O Molimo." In 2023, the album *Mo Roriseng* was nominated for Best Traditional Faith Music Album at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs). Omega Khunou is married to Keatlaretse Grace Khunou.
