About Passion
Passion is a contemporary worship music band and movement founded in 1997 by Louie Giglio. The movement is rooted in the scripture Isaiah 26:8, with a mission to unite students and young adults in worship, prayer, and justice. The band is a central part of the annual Passion Conferences held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Passion operates its own record label, sixstepsrecords, which is a division of Capitol Christian Music Group. The band is currently led by worship leaders including Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker, and Melodie Malone. The group has featured various prominent worship leaders over the years, including Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Crowder, and Christy Nockels.
Passion has released numerous live albums recorded during their conferences and tours. Their catalog includes songs such as "Holy Ground," "What He's Done," "God You Are So Good," "Hope Has A Name," "Glorious Day," "Let It Be Jesus," "Maranatha," and "Highest Hallelujah." The organization also established Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves as its world headquarters.
Passion has had seven albums debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Christian Albums Chart. The group has also received four Dove Awards.
