Pentatonix

Pentatonix is an American a cappella group formed in 2011 in Arlington, Texas. The group consists of vocalists Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee. They rose to prominence after winning the third season of NBC's *The Sing-Off* in 2011. The group is known for pop-style arrangements featuring vocal harmonies, beatboxing, and vocal percussion. Their YouTube channel has garnered billions of views and millions of subscribers. They have released multiple studio albums and EPs, with significant success in the holiday music market. Their catalog includes albums such as *PTX, Vol. 1* (2012), *PTXmas* (2012), *That's Christmas to Me* (2014), *A Pentatonix Christmas* (2016), and *Evergreen* (2021). While not a dedicated Christian or gospel artist, the group's repertoire includes faith-based standards that have resonated with a wide audience, including "Mary, Did You Know?," "Hallelujah," and "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)." Former member Avi Kaplan was part of the group from 2011 to 2017. Pentatonix are multiple Grammy Award winners and have received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
