About Ray Boltz
Raymond Howard Boltz was born on June 14, 1953, in Muncie, Indiana, and graduated from Ball State University with a degree in business and marketing. He began his career in the mid-1980s, focusing on a musical gospel ministry. Boltz became a prominent singer and songwriter in the contemporary Christian music industry, known for his faith-based storytelling.
Boltz released his debut album, *Watch the Lamb*, in 1986. His catalog includes songs such as "Thank You" (1988), "The Altar" (1989), "Another Child to Hold" (1991), "Seasons Change" (1992), "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb" (1994), and "The Anchor Holds" (1995). Over the course of his career, he sold over one million albums and was the winner of three Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association.
In 2004, Boltz retired from his music career. In 2008, he publicly disclosed that he is gay.
